Hall 10, B 18
EuroShop 2008, Duesseldorf
Anyone entering Hall 10 from Hall 9 will see it from a distance: the glowing corporate logo and company claim “the all-round solution” perched atop a 5.8 meter high portal. Constructed of mezzo light and attached panels, it easily overlapped the stands 6 meter wide frontage and invites visitors to participate in the mezzo experience. Underneath the logo level are small cabinets for housing infrastructure components. The stands design ideally combines mezzo strong with mezzo light and shows how panels made of satin-like Plexiglas sheeting can be attached flush with the surface and easily integrated when recessed 12,5 mm. The resulting structure optically elevates the overlying graphics area and accentuates the base structure below.
The front of the bar, where visitors will gather after 17:00 each day of the exhibition to enjoy a legendary mezzo drink in corporate colors, will be creatively designed using mezzo spide.
This approach will clearly demonstrate many of the possibilities that the specially constructed joints offer. 15° angles – which often feature when using mezzo spide to create an overhead sail – are used in combination with back lit Plexiglas to create a multi-faceted surface that provided visitors a truly unique and fascinating light-and-shade effect.
